5 STUDENTS OF MAKERERE COLLEGE RUKUNGIRI ARRESTED OVER COLLEAGUE’S DEATH

Police in Rukungiri are holding five students of Makererere College of Business and Computer Studies Rukungiri Campus alleged to have killed a 23 year Old fellow they suspected to be a thief.
By press time, the students were in custody at Rukungiri police station pending their appearance in court.
The Rukungiri District Police Commander Moses Nanoka identified the suspects as Elias Abaho, Owen Tumuramye, Andrew Nuwamanya, Benson Akatusasibwa and Goodman Jehoshaphat.
The five were cornered up on Sunday for allegedly assaulting the deceased Crescent Ahereza, a resident of Rwamunyinya village in Masya parish in Nyakagyeme Sub County in Rukungiri district on Monday December 2, 2019
One of the suspects while recording police statement said Ahereza was caught inside the male students hostels stealing clothes.
It is alleged that Students attacked Ahereza jointly with his comrade, Kenneth Niwenyesiga and later handed them over to Rukungiri police station on December 3, 2019.
