PARLIAMENT WILL PASS HEALTH INSURANCE ACT BEFORE JUNE 2020—MP COWBOY

The Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality Member of Parliament Gordon Arinda Cowboy has revealed that the health insurance bill will have been passed into an Act most likely by June 2020.
He added that the Act will be the best gift to Ugandans by parliament and government adding that people who should not have died are dying because of lack of money for treatment.
He said this yesterday during an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com managing editor at Jamugi restaurant.
Cowboy said that he sits on parliamentary health committee adding that the committee has already bench marked in Kenya and 72% of Kenyans are on health insurance.
The ugandan insurance bill which was tabled in parliament and forwarded to committee on health will be brought to house in February and then passed into a law.
In the bill, family heads as well as all salaried workers are expected to contribute money for insurance.
Cow boy noted that his Christmas message was this bill which will help secure Ugandans’ lives.
