BUNYANGABU DISTRICT CHAIRMAN SLAPS RDC OVER CORONA VIRUS DIRECTIVES

Police in Bunyangabu district have today morning arrested and later released on bond the distrct chairperson James Ategeka after he assaulted the Resident District Commissioner.
Ategeka slapped RDC Jane Asiimwe when she asked him to park his official car at the district headquarters in response to the presidential directives.
Ategeka claimed that as a district leader ,he was also using the same vehicle to mobilize the community on how to prevent corona virus pandemic.
President Museveni during a national address on how to curtail the spread of Corona Virus instructed that all government vehicles countrywide must be centralized within their respective districts.
“I am directing that all government vehicles in the districts (except the ones for the army and Police) should be centralised at the district headquarters under the command of the district health officer, aided by a Police officer†President Museveni noted.
“We are going to struggle to ensure that [these vehicles] have enough fuel.â€
