MITOOMA DISTRICT COUNCILLORS SHARE 30M COVID 19 CASH

The Mitooma district council that sat on Thursday this week chaired by its speaker Enos Kyarisiima agreed to share million out of the 110M that was located to the district to fight COVID 19.
According to the source that attended the council on Thursday 10 M was allocated to security,70M to health supplies and equipment and 30M to councilors to share.
The Ministry of Health allocated money to all 135 districts in Uganda and the money had guidelines from ministry but councilors from some districts are interfering with this money for example Ntungamo and now Mitooma.
However ,when www.mknewslink.com managing editor talked to the acting chairman LCV for Mitooma district Sylvester Tumukuratire, he noted that the money they shared was for allowances and transport for two sittings.
The credible source which talked to www.mknewslink.com insisted that councilors took 30 million which was received in form of allowances,transport refund and other which money was COVID 19 funds.
