COVID 19: ONLY 60 GUESTS INVITED TO GRACE CONSECRATION OF ARCHBISHOP LAMBERT

Only 60 invited guests have been allowed to Grace the consecration of the newly appointed archbishop of Mbarara archdiocese His Grace Lambert Beinomugisha.
According to the letter that was issued by the archdiocese of Mbarara yesterday 16 June 2020 , only 60 distinguished guests have been invited to Grace the consecration of the newly appointed archbishop of Mbarara Bishop Lambert Beinomugisha as one way of maintaining social distance due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Bishop Lambert was appointed by Pope Francis on 24th April 2020 to replace his senior, His Grace Paul Kamuza Bakyenga who is soon clocking 75 years of age.
Bishop Lambert was born on 12th July 1961 in Kashumba Bukanga Isingiro district; he studied in Uganda and Canada where he obtained Canon laws through the University of St. Paul’s Ottawa.
Lambert was ordained priest on 13th July 1991 at Mbarara Cathedral and he exercised his pastoral ministry for several years at Rubindi parish, before he returned to Canada to complete his studies. He later acted as the diocesan chancellor from 2000-2005
On 2nd July 2005 he was appointed the auxiliary Bishop for the archdiocese of Mbarara and titular Bishop of Tacia Montana and he received Episcopal consecration as a Bishop in October 2005.
