In Bushenyi—
The former Minister of general duties in the office of the prime minister Prof. Tarsis Bazaana Kabwegyere has revealed that it is not against the constitution for him to contest on two seats; NRM district chairman and Igara west chairman.
Prof. Kabwegyere revealed this last evening 21st June 2020 in an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com managing editor at his home in Kitookye.
He noted that some opponents have started deceiving that he is not an aspirant in Igara West but wants to only run for district chairmanship.
Kabwegyere noted that he wants to make it categorically clear that he will contest for both seats.
“I want to make it categorically clear that I will contest for both seats; NRM district chairmanship and Igara west MP,” Prof. Kabwegyere revealed.
Kabwegeyere assured www.mknewslink.com that he will stand against Hassan Bassajabalaba and defeat him adding that he is not like others who contest against Bassajabalaba looking for money.
“I have my own money, I don’t need to sell my soul because of Bassajabalaba’s money,” Prof. clarified.
He has been a minister since 1979 and he is now 79 years old but says he is still strong to steer Bushenyi as NRM chairman and Igara West as MP.
He noted that all is set for him to stand and come out victorious.
