Another former employee of TV West has joined politics in Bushenyi district NRM primaries to represent female youths at district level.
She is the second TV West Employee to declare her political interests in Bushenyi after Yedidia Nyakahanguha disclosed that he wants to stand in Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality as MP.
Babrah Gumoshabe a former Radio presenter at Theo Radio, 101.8 FM Ishaka, Bushenyi who recently retired from Vision group wants to contest for the Female youth Councillor seat in Bushenyi District.
Gumoshabe has been the youth Councilor for Ibaare Sub-county and at the same time a deputy Speaker for the last five years.
Gumoshabe says that there is a need for change and effective youth representation in Bushenyi district.
Gumoshabe promises that with trainings and skills she has acquired from Uganda Youth Network and Media fraternity, she is the right candidate as far as good networking, lobbying for the youth and economic development are concerned.
She adds that she has been active in mobilisation of the youth in Ibaare subcounty and Bushenyi, helping them to realize their potential to be job creators rather than job seekers.
Gumoshabe says she has helped the youth to utilise the available resources, connected many to job sources in Mbarara, Kampala in addition to advising them to embrace government programs for development.
