RDC KATEERA WARNS RELIGIOUS LEADERS AGAINST VIOLATING SOPS ON COVID 19 AS CHURCHES REOPEN

The deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) who doubles as the acting RDC Rwampara district Emmy Katera Turyabagyenyi has warned religious leaders and believers against violating the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as churches reopen today.
After six months of lockdown, president Museveni recently allowed places of worship to reopen but directed that no places of worship should exceed 70 people in attending one service at once.
Katera strongly warned that as the authorities they will ensure that all the SOP’S are duly followed and everyone should wear a face mask among other preventive measures.
Some churches like All Saints’ church that has the capacity of 7,200 have already released programs indicating how church services will be conducted in shifts starting from 08:00am in the morning.
