Bushenyi
Private guards working with New Uganda Securiko Limited Bushenyi branch have gone on strike accusing their bosses of delayed salaries.
The angry guards told www.mknewslink.com that they are tired of half, poor and delayed payments which have been ongoing for years now and thus they decided to strike since yesterday until their issues are resolved.
New Uganda Securiko limited with its offices in St Kagwa trading centre employ more than 36 staff to provide security services to different companies and individuals.
Some of the staff who preferred confidentiality told www.mknewslink.com that they work for three months before they are paid for one month and continue to demand for other two months’ salaries.
They added that this started with the leadership of the new manager whom they also accuse of denying them their NSSF benefits, lunch and transport rights
When www.mknewslink.com visited the office of the manager he was absent and the supervisor said that he had nothing to comment on the issue.
