BUSHENYI FALLEN PRESIDENTIAL ADVISOR KAJUGA LAID TO REST, MUSEVENI APPRECIATES HIS WISDOM

The Presidential Advisor on Culture Mzee George Kajuuga has today 30th Oct.2020 been laid to rest at Nchwanga Hill in Cell IV Ishaka Division Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality.
Mzee Kajuuga died in Platinum hospital Kampala at the age of 96 years battling old age complications and diseases which included hypertension, Diabetes, Stroke among others.
According to Professor Tarsis Kabwegyere, one of Mzee Kajuga’s best friends the Late supported the NRM government to take over power and was one of the leaders of Uganda National Liberation Front (UNLF) in 1979.
Prof. Kabwegyere described Mzee Kajuga as a comforter, patriot, and God loving man.
He urged government leaders in Ishaka town to at least name one of the streets after him name for his significant contribution to Ishaka and Uganda at large.
President Museveni in his speech conveyed by the minister of general duties in the office of the Prime Minister Mary Karooro Okurut explained that Mzee Kajuga was a very wise and intelligent man adding that it was for his wisdom that the two wrote Runyankole Dictionary called “Katondoozi”.
The Late Kajuga who produced 9 children is survived by only two, 40 grandchildren and a widow who is also ageing.
