MUSEVENI CAMPAIGNS IN GREATER BUSHENYI, LEADERS WORRIED OF FDC PENETRATION IN BUHWEJU DISTRICT

In Bushenyi—
President Museveni has today commissioned Katungu -Bweranyangi, Kashenyi-Mitooma roads.
Museveni was today campaigning in districts of greater Bushenyi; Sheema Bushenyi, Rubirizi, Mitooma and Buhweju.
Leaders met with president Museveni at St. Kagwa playground and a few people from the region were allowed to attend the meeting.
The president gave out his manifesto of the next 5 years and leaders were allowed to highlight the urgent projects to be worked on in the region.
He was welcomed by the retiring Member of Parliament Gordon Arinda Cowboy who assured him of overwhelming support from the 5 districts of greater Bushenyi.
The 5 NRM district chairperson led by Alhaji Hassan Bassajabalaba assured the president of support and he asked Museveni to allow him to go to Buhweju so that he uproots FDC.
Bweranyangi road was annexed on Katunguru Ishaka road after Bushenyi Ishaka municipality MP Arinda Gordon Cowboy asked the president to help the diocese so that the road is also tarmacked.
This was during consecration of Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni on May 28th 2017.
In his reply, the president told the congregation and the MP that when the contractor Mota Engil completed Katunguru Ishaka road, he would then continue to Bweranyangi and tarmac the 2.5km road.
