In Fort Portal—

Security was forced to swing into action last night after tip up from a concerned citizen about a sex party at Giraffe bar in Kisenyi Fort portal and the situation had gone out of hand as there was no observance of Standard operating procedures for COVID 19.

According to Bandeeba Festus the Fort Portal city deputy resident city commissioner, the concerned citizen had gone for a drink at the bar but found the situation had gone out of hand so he decided to tip up security for action where they found young ladies and men in the sexual act and very drunk.

Bandeeba added that they were forced to arrest the bar manager and some of his workers and levelers who had come from Kampala to organize the party and the bar has been closed.

RCC warned bar owners and operators who have since opened bars for crowds that they will be arrested and brought to books. He advised those who want to drink to buy and drink from their homes because people lose control after getting drunk.

Tomas Rabooni the Assistant Town Clerk West Division denied allegations that he had authorized the bar to operate and promised to intensify operations to arrest whoever had opened the bars during COVID 19.

In Kabarole—-

There was drama in Ruteete sub county Kabarole district Sunday evening after local leaders fought for shs 300000 they received from NRM to mobilize the president’s votes.

A fight broke out between Mugisa Deogratious, the LCI chairperson of Kifuka cell, Rweihamba parish Ruteete Sub County and Tumwesige Abudul, NRM chairperson of the same cell when Abdul learnt that Mugisa had used the 300,000 shillings NRM door to door campaign facilitation without his knowledge and had remained with 177,500 shillings.

Two weeks back, The NRM party distributed 300,000shs to all local council one committee and 100,000shs to local council two chairpersons to facilitate the smooth running of virtual campaigns for all NRM flag bearers.

During a village gathering to distribute the money, Abdul accused Mugisa of using a huge amount of money without the consent of the village committee while Mugisa claimed he has been inviting Abdul for committee meetings to forge a way forward on how to use the money in vain, breaking into a fight that left minor injuries on both parties.

Residents who saved the situation agreed to engage Ruteete Sub county LC3 chairperson Musinguzi Deo to find a way forward on the money and give feedback to the residents the next day.

However speaking to our reporter, Aston Kyarigonza the Kabarole district NRM treasurer asserted that the money is meant to help those who will be pinning NRM campaign posters to buy glue and water during the course.

Sheema Municipality NRM flag bearer Dickson Kateshumbwa has rubbished Robert Kyagukanyi’s claims that he swindled money in URA.

Katesh was speaking to www.mknewslink.com in a telephone interview yesterday 20th.Dec.2020 after Bobi Wine’s rude claims.

Robert Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi Wine who is the NUP presidential candidate on 19^th Dec.2020 while campaigning in Sheema district claimed that Dickson Kateshumbwa should not be supported any further because he engaged in swindling of money at URA.

Dickson Kateshumbwa described Robert Kyagulanyi as weak leader who is trying to blackmail his name in order to solicit mandates for his fellow contestant NUP flag bearer Kijuju Japhari.

He challenged Bobi Wine that he worked hard while serving in URA as commissioner of customs to gain his present success.

Dickson Kateshumbwa asked his supporters not to be sunk by the challenges from all sides which only aim at tarnishing his name.

In Bushenyi—

Mzee Meshach Karegyeya who taught President Museveni at Mbarara Junior School in 1950s has passed away.

Karegyeya passed away today morning at a yet to be known but his home is in Kibaare parish, Bumbaire sub county Bushenyi district.

As Mbarara Junior and High schools were celebrating 100 years, Managing Director www.mknewslink.com who was then a journalist working with Observer newspaper had an interview with Karegyeya who told him that Museveni was an average learner who was neither a sparker nor a laggard.

After teaching at Mbarara junior school, Karegyeya joined cooperatives and worked with Banyankole Kweterana before he retired to farming at his home in kibaare parish.

In Bushenyi—-

The office of the Chief Administrative Officer in Bushenyi district Malik Mahaba yesterday organized a party for health department workers after it emerged best in the whole of Uganda.

Speaking at the dinner organized at Peak Motel in Bushenyi town, Mahaba said that it is a great achievement for Bushenyi as a district.

Mahaba also appreciated the government for providing Bushenyi district with good health workers and medicine in the health centers.

He however thanked other department adding that the health department would not have achieved anything without team work from both political and technical staff of Bushenyi local government.

Chairman LCV Bushenyi district Jaffari Bassajjabalaba warned health workers against bad working habits of stealing government medicine to their own clinics, late coming and absenteeism among others.

Also Dr. Edward Mwesigye the Bushenyi district Health officer requested the health workers to work hard and the team work.

He asked them to coordinate with other departments in Bushenyi local government if they are to maintain this position in the whole country Uganda.

Kituzi Firm Company has emerged the best health drink producing company in the whole country.

Kituzi Company won in a competition dubbed the people’s choice awards held in Kampala over the weekend.

According to the managing director Kituzi company ltd Moses Ariho the competition was organized by MUYZ plus international.

He added that the competition has been taking place since last 10 years and it covers many industrial aspects including health drinks where Kituzi falls.

He noted that the researchers went to the 4 major regions of Uganda ; Central, Western, Eastern and Northern, interviewing the public on what drink they take, at what price and the availability of the drink.

Kituzi healthy drink emerged the best under healthy drink category with 5120 votes followed by Kazaire healthy drink with 5080, Kirungi drink       with 4870 among others

Blick Atukwase ,the marketing manager Kituzi told www.mknewslink.com managing editor in Kitwe Bushenyi district that among other stakeholders that were involved are Uganda National Bureau Standard, Insurance Regulatory Authority ,National Drugs Authority.

He added that the other categories of the competitors include movit the best cosmetics company, fortune the best cooking oil, Lato the best milk   ICEA the best insurance company and Gorillos the best snacks.

Kituzi is made out of mushrooms which are believed to be a nutritious plant and the factory is situated at KitweRwentuha town council Bushenyi district Western Uganda while the brand is all over the country at 1000ugsh.

In Sheema—–

The Resident District Commissioner for Sheema District Frank Besigye Kyereere has suedleadership of a village group demanding at least Shs 210,000 which he says was meant to cater for the burial of his late father, who was a member.

Kyereere is a resident of Nyakahanga Village, Nyarurambi parish, Rwamucucu Parish in Rukiga District.

It’s alleged that the village group (Nyakahanga Twezikye group) chose not to take care of his father’s burial after the RDC defaulted to pay Monthly fees of Shs 1,000 for three years in a row.

According to the constitution of the group, every Member pays a monthly subscription of Shs 1,000 and anyone who fails to do so for at least three months, he ceases to become a Member.

In this case, the RDC had failed to subscribe for three years and therefore wasn’t a member anymore. The RDC is the one who would pay monthly fees for his parents who are very aged.

According to Allen Kyomuhangyi the chairperson of the Nyakahanga Twezikye group, members who lose their loved ones are benefited with services worth Shs 210,000, catering services and a condolence cash of Shs 20,000 which the RDC missed because he wasn’t a member.

Speaking to our reporter, RDC Kyereere said he sued the group at local council one and lost the case, before he appealed in local council two Court where he won.

“I was refunded Shs 78,500 After winning them while my mother was paid Shs 230,000. Am happy that I won the Case” Kyereere said.

Members who preferred anonymity faulted the RDC for refusing to subscribe for his parents who are over the age of eighty five. 

“He should have been an example as the RDC. How could he fail to raise Shs 1,000…its shame,” Members said.
