16 mothers were able to give birth on Christmas day of this year 2020 while at Kitagata hospital

According to Dr. Johnson Kabwishwa, the babies born were 10 boys and 6 girls and these will be sharing their birth day with Jesus Christ our Lord.

The in charge of Kitagata hospital Sr. Scovia Bongyerirwe told www.mknewslink.com managing director that the doctors who helped these 16 mothers during their labor pain were Dr. Balaam Nkunda and Dr. Anwar Mugarura

In Ibanda—

The bishop of North West Ankole in Ibanda municipality Rt. Rev. Amos Magezi has warned Christians to be careful with mushrooming herbal drink products.

The bishop with concern revealed that they are a lot of herbal drinks on market alleged to cure stress and increase manhood

He added that some of these drinks are dangerous since they are made out of unspecified ingredients.

He instead advised the public to rethink about their health and life, consult qualified doctor rather than self-medication.

“It is time to rethink about your health and life. I hereby advise you to consult qualified doctors, rather than self-medication,” Magezi warned.

The Bishop was delivering his sermon to flocks on Christmas 25^th Dec.2020 at St. Paul’s cathedral.  

Rt. Rev. Magezi called upon Ugandans to take a good example of Jesus Christ to keep peace, unity in their families and communities a head of 2021 polls.

“Jesus christ said I have come to bring to good news in the Nation. I appeal to you to take a good example of Jesus Christ in the middle of your family,” Rt .Rev. Magezi said.

In Ntungamo—

Ntungamo District headquarters have been temporarily closed after the death of one of sub county councilors.

Wilber Pole Pole a councilor representing Rwashameire East sub county at Ntungamo district succumbed to Covid 19 last week 

According to the letter dated 23rd.Dec.2020 that was signed by the Chief Administrative Officer Ntungamo Byamukama Alfred, as per district security meeting held on wed. Dec.23rd.2020, the district headquarters were to remain closed from Thursday, Dec.24th.2020 up to Sunday January, 3rd.2021. 

The same letter directed the District Health Officer (DHO) Ntungamo Dr. Richard Bakamuturaki to fumigate the building before opening on Monday Jan.4th.2020.

In Rukungiri—-

Police in Rukungiri have opened a general inquiry file to investigate circumstances under a suspect died in police cells at Ruhinda police post Rukungiri district.

The deceased is Moses Bahati a resident of Kajunju cell, Ndere parish, Ruhinda sub-county who was arrested yesterday morning on suspicion of chicken theft.

According to the officer in charge of Crime Investigation Department at Rukungiri central police, Onemus Kemugisha, the officer who was on duty at the police post during the Christmas eve decided to check on the suspects in the morning  he had in the cells but found one dead.

Kemugisha added that the body was taken to Rwababengo health center III mortuary and his two co-suspects Brian Kato and Balaam Mugisha were taken to Rukungiri central police to help the police carry out investigations.  

Elly Maate, the Kigezi regional police spokesperson confirmed the death adding that the scene was visited by police officers and the team of homicide,  Rukungiri magistrate grade one and Kigezi regional surgeon  to carry  out postmortem

This becomes the second person to die in police cells in Rukungiri district in a period of two months after another suspect was last month found dead in Kebisioni police cells.

The case was registered RRI CRB 2306/2020
