GEN. TUMUKUNDE TO MUSEVENI: YOU WONT RAISE MANDATORY 51% ON THURSDAY POLLS
By Wilber Muhwezi Kasibante
In Kampala—
The independent presidential candidate Lt. Gen. Tumukunde has told Ugandans today morning that no presidential candidate will raise mandatory 51% in order to be declared a winner.
Tumukunde made this revelation during an exclusive interview with NBS Tv’s morning breeze show.
The interview included two other presidential candidates; independent Joseph Kabuleta and NRM’s director for communications Hon. Emmanuel Dbombo.
Tumukunde asserted that according to the experience he has in Uganda’s elections, this time president Museveni will not raise mandatory 51%.
He added that most of the candidates like Robert Kyagulanyi, Amuriat are stronger which will make it difficult for Museveni to get the required percentage.
He noted that since no one will raise 51%, he will rally behind whoever gets the highest percentage.
