In Rukiga–
Police in Rukiga District are investigating to establish the reasons as to why a man chopped his aunt into pieces before hanging himself.
Elly Maate the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson says that Furaha Karuhanga chopped his aunt Savius Bakahebwa 49, a resident of Nyamihanga village, Nyakasiru parish in Bukinda Sub County, Rukiga district.
Maate intimated to www.mknewslink.com reporter that Karuhanga cut the deceased with a panga on the fore head, in the face and both arms on Friday night at around 01:00 am from her house.
It is said Karuhanga left her aunt unconscious and ran away to the neighbor’s farm where he hanged himself in a eucalyptus tree.
Residents alleged that the two have had a land wrangle for long, which could be the reason as to why he killed her.
The Police PRO noted that the Police were already at the scenes to get the body from the tree so that it could be taken for post mortem.
The case of murder by cutting has been registered at Rukiga Police station on Reference number CRB 235/2021
