Parents, teachers and students have expressed mixed reactions over president Museveni’s decision to re-close schools.
The president during his address to the nations on COVID 19 last night directed that all schools be re-closed since the pandemic has started attacking students.
Donald Wamanya a parent at Immaculate Heart Girls Nyakibale says that the president made a good decision since students will be safer at home compared to when they are at school.
However, Jennifer Katushabe another parent was not happy with the president’s decision.
“He should have communicated to us before we could pay school fees which are always not refunded as it was the other time,”Katushabe lamented.
Deizy Ainembazi a student at Immaculate Heart Girls’ School described the situation as challenging since most of the students’ hopes of being promoted to other classes are now shattered.
Meanwhile, the head teacher Immaculate Heart Girls Sr. Gladys Kachope revealed that most of students are now stressed by the situation and need patience, encouragement from their parents but not more hardships.
