In Bushenyi—
Bushenyi district council has today 27th Oct. 2021 disagred with the district chairman Jaffari Bassajabalaba over who should be the district service commission chairperson.
The disagreement came during an emergency council chaired by speaker Junior Douglas which was called purposely to harmonize on the issues concerning nominees of the district service commission.
About a month ago, the district council approved three nominees of the service commission brought by the district chairman who included; Scholastic Ndyagambaki, Chairperson, Eldard Muhangisa, and Eldard Kamuza.
The Public service commission never approved Scholastic Ndyagambyaki as the chairperson but referred the three names back to council.
After a heated debate, councilors wanted the district chairperson to appoint either Eldard Muhangisa or Kamuza as the chairperson but the chairperson insisted that the chairperson must be Ndyagambaki.
The council was adjourned to Monday 1st Nov.2021 after consultations and agree on who should be the chairperson of the commission either Ndyagambaki, Kamuza or Muhangisa.
