FALLEN SENIOR LECTURER JOSHUA KATALIHWA LAID TO REST IN IBANDA

Hundreds of mourners from Western Region in Uganda and other parts in the country have today thronged St. Paul’s Cathedral in Ibanda Municipality, Ibanda district to send off a renowned senior lecturer Joshua Katalihwa.
Joshua Katalihwa who has been a lecturer at Bishop Barham University College Kabale, and Ibanda University passed away on Saturday at Nsambya Hospital in Kampala.
The Bishop of Ankole Diocese,Mbarara Rt. Rev Sheldon Fred Mwesigwa, has eulogized the deceased as a great educationist, hero and senior lecturer who has left a legacy.
Addressing hundreds of mourners at St. Paul’s cathedral compound Rt. Rev. Mwesigye said that he first met the late Katalihwa as a secondary school teacher at Kibubura Girls’ school
Ms. Hope Ninsiima Katalihwa, told the mourners that she tied knot with her husband Katalihwa at St. Paul’s Cathedral on 2, 1, 1988 and since then the couple had braced with five children and some grand children.
Ms. Katalihwa added that her husband has been battling with cancer for five years.
Late Katalihwa died at the age of 61. He preached the gospel in many parts of Uganda and served on several committees in the Church of Uganda. May his soul rest in internal peace.
The body of late Katalihwa was laid at Ibanda central cell in Ibanda Municipality today.
