Rwampara district FDC chairman Wilberforce Ahimbisibwe Ongom has disregarded allegations that he defected to NRM Party.

Addressing Journalists in Mbarara city today, Ongom said all these are rumors intended to tarnish his name, image and political career.

He added that he doesn’t know the Genesis of all these allegations moving around that he crossed to NRM Party.

The FDC cadre noted that he is focused on extending services to FDC party and its Members.

Ongom said that as an activist, he is not looking for survival in politics but he is concerned about bringing services to people through being their voice

Bright Muhumuza the western Uganda National unity Platform (NUP) Coordinator told www.mknewslink.com  that he knows Wilberforce Ongom as a person who fights for justice but some mafias are trying to ruin his name and political career.

Muhumuza said that he has been persuade Ongom to Join the National Unity but he has always turned down his request.

“The Ongom I know can’t defect to the ruling Government which he served for over 10 years as a teacher,but gained nothing,” Bright Muhumuza added.

Police in greater Bushenyi are holding a man for allegedly chopping his wife into pieces before handing himself to police.

SP Martial Tumusiime the Greater Bushenyi police spokesperson has only identified as Boaz a Resident of Kiyanga sub county in Mitooma district.

It is alleged that the suspect chopped his wife Turyaheebwa 40 into pieces before handing himself to police.

Tumusiime told www.mknewslink.com reporter that the duo have had long standing domestic issues until yesterday when the husband (Boaz) chopped his wife into pieces.

The police PRO added that the prime Suspect (Boaz) is currently detained at Bushenyi Central Police Station awaiting to be charged with murder.
