By Innocent Atuganyira
MASINDI: Residents of Alimugonza village in Pakanyi sub county, Masindi district were on Monday evening left in shock after finding their chairperson lying dead in a stream.
Dan Kidudu’s body was found in the afternoon in a stream near his maize garden located about 300 meters from his home.
According to Patrick Atugonza, the village secretary, he had talked to Kidudu in the morning but he was surprised by the news of his death in the afternoon.
Atugonza told our reporter that Kidudu was found lying facing downward in the stream about three meters from a mango tree with a rope that had been tied on a branch.
He added that it was hard to tell what had caused Kidudu’s death as they were still waiting for the police to take the body for medical examination to establish the cause of his death.
However, a resident of the area who identified himself as Robert Kabagambe told our reporter that Kidudu in his 40s was seen this morning coming from a clinic in the village with a cannula on his hand.
We could not get a comment from the police on the matter at the time of filing this story.
Kidudu’s death comes just a week after an elderly man was found dangling dead on a rope in the area after hanging himself.
