HOIMA WHIPPING PASTOR DENIED BAIL

Pastor Denis Kintu of empowerment city church in Hoima city has been remanded at Hoima government prisons in Kiryatete till 9th September this year for ruling by principal grade one magistrate of Hoima Elijah Iradukunda.
Pastor Kintu is being charged with 17 counts among human trafficking, common assault and sectarianism and he committed these offences on 28th of august 2022.
He was arrested on 31st of last month and produced to court on 1st of September this year then remanded till today when he was again produced to court for hearing of his counts.
Pastor Kintu will be produced to court on Friday 9th this month for ruling.
Through his lawyer Simon Kasangaki of Kagangaki and company advocates, Pastor Kintu applied for a bail but was rejected by Hoima principal magistrate grade one on grounds that he needs to study Kintu’s file further.
