The family of a 28 year old woman who was attacked with acid mid this week has refuted rumors that she is dead.
Unknown assailants in Bushenyi on 14th Sept.2022 afternoon splashed acid on one Julian Braid a business woman in Bushenyi town near Bushenyi Medical Care hospital.
However, there has been rumors since morning that Julian succumbed to the injuries last night.
Speaking to www.mknewslink.com a close family member who preferred confidentiality said they rushed her to Mulago hospital where she is receiving treatment and in stable condition.
He thus asked the public to treat all these as baseless rumors that should be ignored.

Authorities in Rukiga district are struggling to raise funds to rehabilitate all the district roads and Bridges following heavy downpour.

This was revealed as the state minister for works Musa Ecweru, area MPs and district officials toured roads and bridges which are in a very deprived state.

Earlier on during the parliamentary sitting on Monday this week, the Rukiga county Member of the Parliament Hon. Ndyomugyenyi Roland Bish raised the matter of importance showing how Roads and bridges have been washed away by heavy floods.
This prompted the deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa who was heading the session to direct the ministry responsible “the Minister Works and Transport” to send a team of its officials to tour and assess the affected areas.

The roads which need a serious rehabilitation include Rushebeya Nozi Butambi, Nyaruziba- Nyakashebeya- Ruyumbu, Kamwezi- Kibanda and Sindi -Kichenche.

Some of the bridges which also need seriously attention are Kishenyi bridge connecting Kigara and Kibanda parishes, Munkole bridge along Kamwezi road, Nyakahanga bridge along Rwamutunguru Kashekye road, Kitaraka foot bridge connecting Rushebeya to Kihorezo, Rugoma bridge on Kakiriizi Rugama Mukyogo road, Mparo bridge connecting Rushebeya trading center and Rwamucucu sub county.

Addressing the journalists, the state minister for works Hon Musa Ecweru said that Rukiga District needs a formative intervention to make public places accessible like Health centers.

He added that most of the bridges were constructed many years back and some of them which the local government has tried to construct are wooden based though they carry very many goods and food from Rukiga to Kampala.

According to the district Engineer Mr. James Kiganda each road requires 550M to be renovated and 120M for each Bridge.

Greater Bushenyi National Water and Sewerage Corporation NWSC are mourning one of their staff, marketing assistant for Sheema area Sperious Ninsiima.

Ninsiima who hails from Kantunda Bumbaire sub county Bushenyi District died in a motorcycle accident at Nyakabirizi last evening.

According to the manager NWSC Sheema area Mr shine borne, ninsiima was riding with a colleague called Fred Byamugisha.

The manager told www.mknewslink.com that the two were heading to Club one in Bushenyi for a colleague’s wedding meeting.

Burial, according to Mr. Shine borne will take place on Sunday 18 Sept 2022 in Kantunda Bumbaire subcounty Bushenyi district.
