The embattled Bushenyi Ishaka deputy mayor Joel Nkole has called upon the newly appointed west Ankole diocesan secretary Rev. Can. Bethel Namara to quickly come to Bushenyi Ishaka municipality and calm down the councilors who are using censure instead of dialogue.
The deputy mayor said this today 21st Nov.2022 at All Saints greater Bushenyi in a service held to say to the outgoing archdeacon Bethel Namara.
Nkole was speaking as the only politician at the function and hailed the archdeacon for performing exemplarily by building the archdeacon’s house buying, expensive vehicle and helping other churches under the archdeaconry like Ruharo Church of Uganda.
Nkole used the chance given to him to speak to call upon the promoted archdeacon to rush to Bushenyi Ishaka municipality and calm down councillors who have resorted to censuring him rather than dialogue.
Nkole was censured last month as the deputy mayor against the will and wish of the mayor and the solicitor general.
The outgoing archdeacon who is now the Diocesan secretary was given gifts including a two heifers; one from archdeaconry, parish, a goat from Hon. Mary Karooro and others
The archdeacon who has already resumed work as the diocesan secretary told the parishioners that he will moving out on Thursday after reverend Didas Natweta has been ushered in.
