GUN MEN ATTACK KYABADAZZA POLICE STATION IN BUTAMBALA, TWO PEOPLE KILLED.

Police in Butambala district are hunting for three unknown assailants who allegedly killed two civilians and raided a police station where they aided the escape of suspected cattle thieves on Friday night.
Lydia Tumushabe, the Katonga Regional Police spokesperson, said officers at Kyabadazza Police Station received a call from the Budde Sub County Chairperson, Ali Mwagalanyi who said that two suspected cattle thieves on two motorcycles
were on the verge of being lynched by the community.
The task team responded, rescued the two suspected cattle thieves and took them into custody.
Moments later,a group of three gunmen arrived at the scene asking what had happened.
It is said that they looked suspicious and resident threaten to kill them not knowing they have guns. They drew out guns and shot two of them instantly.
Police have identified the deceased as Ibra Musoke and Peter Nsubuga.
Tumushabe said the armed assailants proceeded to Kyabadaza Police Station in Kyabadazza Trading Centre and attacked officers on duty.
Although no officer was injured nor guns lost, they torched part of the police station.
However,Tumushabe noted that the motive of the suspects is not yet clear.and that intelligence teams have embarked on a mission to identify the attackers and ensure they are apprehended.
