Bweranyangi Junior school has exceled in PLE 2022 exams released today 27/01/2023 despite failure to teach online during lock downs.

The head teacher of the school Mr. Isaac Katondore told www.mknewslink.com editor that 155 pupils sat for PLE and 136 came in 1st grade whereas 19 came in grade 2.

He said that the best pupils are 6 and all have 6 aggregates, he added that their performance was affected by automatic promotion and lack of online teaching during lock downs.

He continued to say that the school being a UPE one, parents don’t have smartphones neither computers therefore it was very hard to conduct online classes.

He however said, they have high hopes in their p7 2023 because they have taught them and assessed them equally well and therefore they hope they will perform better than the last year of 2022.

Finally Mr. Katondore attributed the good performance to hard working teachers and parents who provided scholastic materials to the pupils on time.

Parental care primary school Bushenyi today continued to shine in PLE results that were released today whereby out of 71 pupils that sat PLE last year 2022, 70 got first grade and one came in a second grade with 13 aggregates.

The head teacher of the school Mr. Perezi Basiime said that 2 pupils scored 4 aggregates whereas 14 pupils scored 5 aggregates.
He added that 13 pupils scored 6 aggregates, 11 pupils scored 7 aggregates, 17 pupils scored 8 aggregates and 9 pupils scored 9 aggregates.

H/M attributed this great success to parents who managed to pay school fees on time plus supporting their children’s(pupils) with scholastic materials.

Finally, he thanked the teachers for their zeal, hard work and unity.

Pearl Junior school a private school located in Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality has scored 100% in the PLE results that were released today 27/01/2023 afternoon in Kampala.

According to the head teacher Mr. Leny Jaspher, 138 pupil sat for PLE 2022 and all of them passed in first grade.
He added that 4 pupil passed with 4 aggregates whereas 11 passed with 5 aggregates.

He attributed the great performance to hard work by the teachers and the pupils. He noted that the primary seven class finished syllabus on 3rd July 2022 which gave them enough time to revise and do tests hence this great success.

H/M Leny Jaspher added that one class of primary seven was being handled by 12 qualified and experienced teachers. This led to these colorful results.

Finally, he said that during covid 19 lockdown their pupils were being taught online which helped a lot when they came back to school to catch up.

St. Kagwa boarding primary school a UPE institution has greatly excelled in PLE exams that were released today Jan 27, 2023.

According to the head teacher of the school, 190 pupils sat for 2022 PLE, 188 got first grade whereas only two pupils got second grade.

Mr. Twinomugisha Celestine, told www.mknewslink.com editor that 3 pupils passed with aggregates 4 whereas 3 pupils got aggregates 5.
He added that 31 pupils passed with aggregates 6.

He attributed this great performance to seriousness of teachers and pupils.

He noted that the excellent performance is also attributed to cooperation among the staff and the entire school community.

Mr.Twinomugisha told mknewslink.com that parents did a great role by paying the school fees on time and provision of scholastic materials. He said that the media has also played a big role on their success.

Although the general performance was better as compared to candidates who sat for the previous examinations.

Releasing the results at the State Lodge in Nakasero, Kampala today 27/01/2023 the executive director of Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB), Mr Daniel Odong said that a total of 811,810 sat for the examinations out of the 832,654 who registered.

Out of those who sat 114,617 passed in first grade, 357,799 passed in grade two, 146,583 in third grade and 95,702 passed in fourth grade while 97,109 were not graded.

This means that a total of 714,702 out of 811,810 who sat for the university examinations have passed the examinations and can proceed to post primary education, according to UNEB.

Mr Odong, however, said those who were not graded (97,109) should repeat primary seven since they have not been graded.

Odongo reported that more pupils qualified to join the post primary institutions than previous years.
