Students in Rubirizi district have been warned against sexual immorality especially the escalating homosexuality and lesbianism.
The warning was yesterday made by the Rubirizi District Police Commander SP Lillian Kikobe while sensitizing students on security at Kirugu secondary School in Rubirizi District.
According to SP Kikobe, these vices are here and eating up the society thus tasked every individual to take up the responsibility of speaking out against them till they are kicked out of Uganda and Africa in general.
Kikobe noted that homosexuality is deadly, illegal and damages the body in addition to killing someone spiritually.
As a way of fighting the vice, Kikobe tasked parents to get close to their children, be friendly and have a heart to heart talk so that the children can open up on challenges they meet while at school.
The DPC challenged leaders to always go back to the villages and sensitize their electorates on the law and other security related matters instead of waiting for election time.
She advised that security meetings should be done at local level so that residents can exchange views to curb down criminality.
