MINISTER BARYOMUNSI TO LAUNCH KABALE UNIVERSITY REGIONAL ICT HUB

KABALE.
The minister of ICT and National Guidance Dr.Chris Baryomunsi will commence the opening of a Regional ICT Innovation Hub tomorrow 1st June 2023 at Kabale University main campus.
According to the press release, Kabale University has scheduled couple of events to take place during their 7th graduation week.
The program runs from 30th may 2023 with KAB CONVOCATION FOOTBALL MATCH for both Men and women at 3pm and 31st May, 2023 with KAB COVOCATION RADIO TALKSHOWS on Radio stations kinkizi fm and Radio Ankole from 8am to 9am.
Continuously, on 1st June 2023, there will be the official launch of the Regional ICT HUB from 9am to 12pm later in the evening day ends in a Radio talk show at voice of kigezi at 9pm to 10pm.
On the final day of the program 2nd June 2023 will be the 7th graduation ceremony at kikungiri playground.
The ICT Innovation Hub at Kabale University will serve as a breeding ground for the new ideas and innovations in technology of the country.
And as University they send a sincere and great gratitude to the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance with the Government of Uganda for huge support in the project.
Kabale University started as a private university in 2001 owned by a group of people in kigezi led by Amama Mbabazi Amos Nzeyi, prof.
Kagonyera, Dr. Suruma, the late former Governor Mutebire among others and was taken over by the government and recognized as public university in 2012.
The institution is renowned as the biggest university in kigezi sub region and is government owned that teaches various courses both arts and sciences courses.
