Rukondo parish in Kitagata Archdeaconry West Ankole diocese has been ranked as the most children welcoming church by the Archbishop of Uganda his grace Dr. Kazimba Mugalu.

He said this when he was at Rukondo COU in the children’s church at the parish where it was glamorous, children singing and dancing in their own church for the Archbishop.

Rukondo COU is a model parish headed by head of laity Col. Canon Charles Aine.

He told the Archbishop that when he took over in 2012 as head of laity he found out that they wanted to take away the parish and it remains a sub parish.

He noted that he worked very hard and their tithe is always paid on 24th of December every year.

The archbishop opened officially the house of the archdeacon Kitagata archdeaconry. He revealed that there are some dioceses where they don’t have similar house for their Bishops.

Kitagata Archdeaconry honoring catechist Mutonzi who did a great job, the son Natwebembera receiving an award on behalf of the family.

The head of laity of the archdeaconry unveiled the architectural design/plan which they will use to build an archdeaconry church that will be magnificent and absolutely beautiful.

Rev. Canon Godfrey Bajura unveiled the team who are behind the new and beautiful church which will give glory to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

MD NWSC Dr. Silver Mugisha also graced the function.

Among the team include Prof. Dickens Elijah Mushemeza mp Sheema south, Dr. Nicholas Mwebesa NWSC, Eng. Bwago among others.

The bishop of west Ankole diocese Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni has hailed Fred Baguma before the Archbishop of the COU for building 95percent of the church in mitooma

The church in question is Nyakatete COU in Mitooma Archdeaconry West Ankole diocese.

The above and many were revealed at Nyakatete parish when the Archbishop was doing his pastoral visit in west ankole diocese.

The Archbishop has been in West Ankole Diocese since last week on Friday evening and will leave the diocese today evening 19th June 2023.
