‘I WAS A DIFFICULT STUDENT HOWEVER I HAVE MADE IT’—KABALE UNIVERSITY’S DR. ABBAS MUGISHA REVEALS AS HE CELEBRATES HIS NEWLY ACQUIRED PhD

The Kabale university lecturer Dr. Abbas Mugisha yesterday revealed that he was a difficult student during his school days.
He made this revelation during his thanks giving party held at their home in Rwatukwire, central division Bushenyi ishaka municipality.
He noted that when he was at st. Kaggwa Bushenyi high school, he would not feel comfortable unless he escaped from the above school.
He requested for a Ruganda song ‘Gyefunde Tibande Byangu’ Things have not been easy where I have passed.
Dr. Abbas graduated recently from Tanzanian university with a PhD.
His father Hajji Ziyimba also celebrated his return from Mecca done for the second time termed in Islam as Umrah.
Another son of mzee Ziyimba, Abdulaziz graduated as a sheike.
Kabale university was represented by its Bursar Mr. Gad Twesigye and was assisted by Prof. Mesharch Katusiime. Many other staff also attended.
Dr. Abbas’s mentor Prof. Emmanuel Karoro expressed happiness to see his mentee grow in academia.
Politicians who included district chairman Bushenyi Jafari Basajjabala hailed Dr. Abbas’s father, Hajji Ziyimba for being a role model and clean retired politician who laid a strong foundation that they are working on.
Bushenyi district woman MP Annet Katusiime Mugisha hailed Dr. Abass for working hard to attain a PhD. She also thanked Hajji Ziyimba for investing heavily in education.
