PROF. KARORO CHALLENGES KIGEZI TEACHERS

The Former Deputy vice Chancellor of Kampala International University’s Western Campus, and before vice chancellor Ibanda University Professor Emmanuel Karoro, yesterday urged teachers in Uganda to serve as role models in their teaching roles.
Professor Emmanuel Karoro, who is a Professor at Bishop Barham University College Kabale while delivering message yesterday on October 25, 2023, during a one-day workshop for undergraduate students at Uganda Christian University’s Bishop Barham University College Kabale the event which took place in the Multipurpose Hall aimed to provide clinical supervision for teaching practices scheduled for the next semester.
Karoro emphasized that teachers should be exemplary with good behaviour and manners they expect from their students. He stressed that a teacher’s conduct and integrity in the classroom are crucial for fostering respect and understanding among young learners.
Professor Karoro said a teacher should be an example so that the students you are teaching can learn not just the subject matter but also how to conduct themselves as responsible individuals.
Following the workshop, students pursuing education degrees expressed their gratitude to the organizers for the valuable training and they said that the session had equipped them with essential insights into how to conduct themselves during their teaching practice.
The students requested more such sessions to gain further experience before venturing into the field of teaching.
