40 YEARS OF NTC KABALE: ACHIEVEMENTS, FAILURES

The first deputy prime minister and the minister for East African Affairs RT Hon. Alitwala Rebecca Kadaga has urged teachers to keep resilient and steady fast in their profession if they are to succeed.
This was contained in her message as the guest of honor which was read recently by the Rukiga member of parliament Hon Roland Ndyomugyenyi Bish during the forty years in existence celebrations of National Teachers College Kabale in central division Kabale municipality.
Kadaga stated that teachers deal with different categories of people who may hurt them and she urged them to always react professionally.
She has on a special note congratulated NTC community for reaching a milestone of forty years saying that this existence of forty years should not be taken for granted because it has helped men and women to achieve their academic goals.
She has promised to support the transition to the degree awarding institution and ensure that funding for this transition is availed
Speaking during the same function, the retired director of the directorate of the education standards in the ministry of education and sports DR. Turyagenda Kedrase who is also an alumni of NTC Kabale has called upon the government to rethink and improve on the welfare of the teachers if they are to boost education sector in the nation saying that the nation cannot develop without good education system and that there is no education system that can be better than the teachers and that the quality of the teacher depend on the quality of the training and the quality of welfare at work.
The function was headed and organized by the deputy institution principal Mr. Friday Rwamahe.
