IN KAKANJU BUSHENYI……………..
It was Sunday 21st July 2024 when all roads led to kakanju S/c for a thanksgiving facilitated and funded by Dr .Mucunguzi Abel senior lecturer at Kabale University .
The thanksgiving took place at katunga catholic centre in St kangwa parish in Mbarara Archdiocese. it all went well as Dr. Abel was thanking God for healing his mother who fell sick critically and later recovered as well as his wife Fedires Kababuure Mucunguzi .
The service was well attended and the church was full to capacity the mass was led by Rev. Fr Everest Mutambi assisted by many other catholic leaders.
Kabale University the employer of Dr Mucunguzi Abel was headed by the University bursar CPA Gad Twesigye.He hailed Dr.Abel for being thankful to God and remembering that its only God who knows everyone’s calendar .
Ibanda University was represented by one of the Directors Mr. Elly Kasingaire who contributed 500k towards the church project. A total of 8M and more was collected to complete the church project.
Dr.Mucunguzi Abel was the Deputy Vice Chancellor for 3years and developed great ideas that the Ibanda University is moving on now.
Ibanda University is one of the fastest growing universities in Uganda with masters programs and a branch in Rwampara.
Bishop Stuart University and KIU where Dr .Abel formerly worked were also represented at the thanksgiving.
Dr. Abel organized at his home in Rwengoma Kakanju S/c a heavy lunch that was shared by neighbors, invited guests and any other person who came at his home.
The chief celebrant was was Dr. Abel’s original OB Dr.Eng. Silver Mugisha together with his wife Hon. Annet Katusiime Mugisha.
The general manager centenary Bank Ms Kababuure with her husband and the entire family of The late Mzee Kababuure from Ntungamo Kajara who are Dr Abel’s in-laws attended.
