KIBAALE DISTRICT MAN KILLS HIMSELF OVER ACCULATED LOANS

A 48-year-old man has ended his own life after an alleged failure to pay loans from different financial institutions and individuals in Kibaale district.
The body of the victim John Nkalubo Abdu who is a Chairperson of Couples in Buseesa Catholic Parish and a resident of Kamusiima village- Buseesa in Matale Sub County, Kibaale District.
Leonard Babona a brother to the deceased said that the officials from UGAFOD Microfinance visited the home of Abdu demanding over 15m he acquired some time back and he was supposed to have paid it by 24th of this month.
He also acquired a loan of 5m from one Patrick Kyalisiima resident of the same area.
Baboona says after sensing danger based on the last phone call he received from the deceased, he contacted other people who started searching for the deceased but discovered the body dangling on a tree branch near his home.
Philemon Mukirane, the OC Nyamarwa Police Post who addressed shocked residents at the scene asked locals to always share challenges to fellows for advice adding that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
Led by Peter Nyanzi, the village Chairperson Kamusima and other leaders asked the public to always seek advice in times of challenges.
