GOV’T ORDERS PUBLIC SERVANTS TO REMAIN HOME, ONLY DEPARTMENTAL HEADS TO WORK

As one way of curbing Corona Virus pandemic through banning social gatherings of more than 5 people ,president Yoweri Museven asked public servants to remain home just like other Ugandan for the next 14 days The Chief Administrative officer of Bushenyi Malik Mahab has said that the ministry of local gorverment have asked them to select key essential staff to remain working under strict SOPs to run the district and ensure services delivery at all times .
Speaking to our reporter, Mahab said all departmental heads will report back to work squashing allegations of closure of offices yet they are meant to work .
He also noted that all sub county chiefs should remain working at their respective designations to ease work load at the sub county level
In a similar development the CAO said that as a district task force team they had identified motorcycles of departments to help in transport in case of any emergency in this period but holders were reluctant to release them.
