As reporting back of students for first term draws closer, over 22 schools in Bushenyi district are likely not to open over failure to meet the minimum requirements for operation, needed by the ministry of education and sports.
Saul Rwampororo the District Education Officer Bushenyi district noted that they received a directive from the ministry of education and sports that all unlicensed schools should not open for first term.
According to Rwampororo, the district report shows that seventeen schools are operating illegally and they have disobeyed the ministrys regulations and rules.
He is appealing to parents not to take their children to unlicensed schools, saying that, they will lose their fees to these schools after closure.
However, Rwampororo noted that warning notices were issued to schools since last year but some have failed to comply.
