220 GRADUATE AT BUSHENYI VOCATIONAL INSTITUTE, GIRLS WARNED ON EARLY MARRIAGE

220 students yesterday graduated in various vocational skills at Bushenyi Vocational Dan memorial Institute (BVI) in Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality
BVI held its 2nd graduation ceremony on 26th Oct at Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality compound where graduands were awarded certificates and diplomas in different skills.
Speaking as one of the guest speakers during the graduation ceremony, Mushumbusha from Makerere University warned girl graduands against early marriages encouraging them to take time, first mature enough and become important women to the world.
He also appealed to all graduands to remain relevant and be innovative by using skills attained from their institute.
The Uganda Business and Technical Examination (UBTEB) Board Chairman Onesmus Besigyen who was the guest of honor revealed that BVI exhibited commitment within their outstanding real life projects which were assessed by the board.
He encouraged all students still studying from BVI to take real life projects as important hence calling for participation as they prepare for the world of work.
The institute director Charles Natekateka thanked the principal Modrine Nuwajuna for restless efforts put into ensure the development of the institute.
Graduands were awarded certificates and diploma in secretarial studies, nursery teaching, business administration, accountancy, business studies, electrical installation, building, plumbing, motor vehicle mechanics, wielding and metal fabrication, tailoring,catering and hotel management among others.
Bushenyi Vocational Institute (BVI) was founded by Late Elly Mutebi and there was a moment of silence to remember and wish him eternal peace.
