3 WEEK OLD BABY STOLEN FROM MOTHER IN ISINGIRO

Police in the South Western District of Isingiro are investigating circumstances under which a three weeks old baby was stolen from her mother.

The baby was solen from  Busigye Prudence 36  a resident of Kabuyanda central cell in Kabuyanda Town council.

According to ASP Samson Kasasira the Rwizi police mouthpiece it’s alleged that on   17 April 2022 at around 1700 hours  a  suspect who is still at Large and not known in the area while at Kabuyanda Health Centre IV  befriended the victim’s mother and ended up carrying the baby on the back as she escorted Busigye Prudence Out of the health center where she had gone to visit a friend.

The suspect later vanished with the toddler after pretending that she is going to withdraw money from a Mobile Money agent to buy chapati  in the trading Centre.

Kasasira adds that the search for the prime Suspect has been mounted through announcements to alert the public.

He however cautions the public to avoid dealing with strangers and trusting them with personal information or property to avoid being targets of criminals.
