30 SUSPECTED CRIMINALS NETTED IN KISORO SECURITY SWOOP

Police in Kisoro district is holding over 30 suspected criminals that were rounded up in a Police operation on Friday night.
The Uganda police force and Uganda peoples defense forces officers combed Kisoro municipality following an outcry from residents who complain of goons that terrorize them
A secondary school teacher is also among the seven arrested notorious gang leaders behind Kisoro machete attacks.
Kisoro DPC SP Musisi Richard said that the secondary school teacher Mbonimpa Henry has been on a wanted list of high-profile criminals who recruit members especially teenagers into criminality.
He identified the High profile criminals as Nkunzima Wilson alias Gaca, Ngaruye Samuel,Nshimiyimana Samuel,Niringiyimana Dan among others.
The recruited members admitted that they work for the arrested gang leaders in a sense that when they steal, they take the loot to them.

Our reporter visited crime hot spot areas of Russia, Muline, and Kekubo in Kisoro municipality and found residents celebrating after learning that Mbonimpa Henry- a secondary school teacher was among those gang leaders arrested last night.
They praised the team from police and UPDF officers that carried out the operation and asked them to track down other gang members.
Kisoro town has of recent been characterized by machete attackers who snatched people’s property.
Many residents are nursing wounds after being attacked.
