36 ARRESTED IN BUSHENYI FOR DEFYING PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVES ON CORONA VIRUS

Uganda Police force in conjunction with UPDF arrested 27 people who were found arrogantly defying the directives of the president.
The 27 were arrested yesterday and among them are 5 women bar owners who were caught operating in disregard of the presidential directives on closure of bars.
According to SP Martial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson ,the number of the arrested adds up to 36 since other 9 were arrested on Saturday in the areas of Kyeizooba , Kakanju ,Ibaare and Bumbaire.
Tumusiime explained that these were arrested after they failed to follow presidential directives on curfew and closure of bars.
He told www.mknewslink.com that this operation will continue until 14 days set by the president to curtail the spread of Corona Virus are over.
He revealed that those arrested during this time will be taken to courts of law and charged with defying president’s directive
