A total of 396 candidates who sat the final national O’level examinations last year at Bweranyangi Girls’ Secondary School in Bushenyi have qualified for the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE).
According to the results which were released on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, all the 396 students who sat the examinations at the Bushenyi based school passed excellently and their qualification will be indicated on their transcripts and certificates as “Result 1.”
Shortly after the results’ release by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), the school head teacher told www.mknewslink.com that they were so excited with the girls’ performance because they are the first cohort of candidates under the competency-based curriculum.
The happy head teacher who www.mknewslink.com found busy being congratulated by several parents on phone said they congratulate their last year’s candidates upon achieving the milestone.
“We are very happy with the results. Our girls performed exceptionally well. Though there were a few challenges with the new lower secondary level curriculum, we are so delighted that those challenges did not stop the girls from achieving this high performance,” said the head teacher.
She thanked her staff at the school, parents’ cooperation and the dedication of the learners for the hard work done, saying it is what led to high performance in the results.
Over the years, Bweranyangi Girls’ School has maintained the high performance in national examinations by UNEB both in the entire western region and in the whole country at large.
