42 MILLION COLLECTED OVER COMPLETION OF BUBANGIZI PRIMARY SCHOOL CLASS ROOM BLOCK

Over 42 million were on Sunday collected for the completion of a three stall classroom block at Bubangizi primary school in Kashenshero town council in Mitooma district.
The cabinet minister for education and sports also first lady Kataha Janet Museveni donated 20 million and promised to support girl education in the country.
This was contained in her speech that was delivered by the Ruhinda county legislator Rtd. Capt. Donozio Kahonda during a fundraising function held at the school premises.
The first lady said that educated girls today are playing the key roles in developing the families thus a need to support them in education.
She also reechoed her reminder to parents to pack food for their ongoing school children as well as giving them time to read their books.
Kahonda who donated 6 million asked parents to a void politics differences at this time and work for the development of their households.
He noted that the political season has not yet begun thus urging the public to wait until the real time.
John Chrysostom Muyingo the state minister for high education who was the chief guest asked teachers to do their work with passion and team work
Muyingo implored teachers to desist from sexual engagement with pupils but rather handle them like their parents.
The head teacher of the school Sister Theodore Zohirwe said that they got a plan to have a three stall classroom block due to land shortage to cater for the big enrollment of pupils at school.The school currently has a total of 570 pupils.
The function was attended by Ibanda municipality Member of Parliament Tarsis Rwaburindore, Asaba Nsabimana Paul of Kyaka North County among other dignitaries who included political and civic leaders in Mitooma district.
