48 YEAR OLD MAN COMMITS SUICIDE AFTER LOSING VEHICLE TO THUGS IN BUSHENYI

BUSHENYI
Police in Bushenyi is investigating circumstances under which a 48-year-old man committed suicide.
The deceased Fred Mucunguzi a resident of Omukavacado Trading Centre,Buyanja parish,Kyeizooba S/county in Bushenyi District allegedly committed suicide by throwing himself in a dam of water in Bushenyi near central police station.
According to SP Martial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson, the deceased was on 1/9/2022 at around 0900hrs found floating on water in a dam at Tankhill Village.
He was well dressed with his shoes and his phone was in his hands.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was mentally disturbed some two months back when he bought a new Canter Vehicle but was stolen from him by unknown thugs.
The scene was visited by a team of detectives headed by the District CID officer and SOCO,
The body was retrieved from the dam and conveyed to KIU Hospital Ishaka for Postmortem as enquiries are ongoing
