50 YEAR OLD MAN ARRESTED FOR STRANGLING MOTHER TO DEATH IN KISORO

Police in Kisoro are investigating circumstances under which 80 year old woman was strangled to death by un known assailants.
The deceased has been identified as Faridah Rukamba a resident of Rugunda Village Rutaka parish Kirundo subcounty Kisoro district .
It is alleged that the deceased was attacked by unknown people who strangled her to death on 4/5/2020 in Rugunda village ,Rutaka parish.
According to the grand daughter Faith Musimenta 15 yrs she found her grandmother Faridah laying lifeless in her bed and called neighbours who discovered she had signs of strangulation on her neck.
Elly Mate the Kigezi region police spokesperson, police was informed about the incident and they visited the scene, recorded statements from the witnesses under CRB 245 and postmortem done.
Mate told www.mknewslink.com that William Tibesigwa aged 50 years a resident of the same place and a son to the deceased was arrested to assist in investigations.
