56 YEAR OLD BUSINESSMAN WOMAN MURDERED BY UNKNOWN ASSAILANTS IN RUKUNGIRI

Police in Rukungiri are hunting for unknown suspects who allegedly cut to death a 56 year old woman in Rukungiri.

Elly Maate identified the deceased as Aida Bwentaro a resident of Rugongo cell Kitojo parish Buyanja sub county Rukungiri district.

It’s alleged that on the 2/2/22 at about 19:00hrs at Rugongo cell, the deceased was waylaid by unknown assailants on her way home from her shop.

According to Maate, the deceased was cut deep in the neck before they tied her with a brand new rope leading to her death.

Maate said that the deceased has had a long standing land conflicts with her step children after her refusal to distribute family land after the death of her husband and matters were yet to be settled.

A report was this morning made by Godfrey Kabasharira 38 years a health worker, after which case of murder was registered at file number Rukungiri CRB 097/2022 for further investigating.

Police visited the scene and body was conveyed to Rwakabengo health Centre III for postmortem.
