6 BUSHENYI ACCIDENT VICTIMS LAID TO REST

BUSHENYI

Thousands of mourners yesterday gathered at  gathered at  Bunyarigi , Central Division Bushenyi Municipality  to for send off of  six  members of one Family who Perished in a road accident along the Kampala Masaka high way.

The deceased included Police Constable (PC)Cleopus Bwesigye ,Silomena Nyagoma 3 years,Falestine Nyakato 3 years,Darliton Kiza 1 year,Maria Gorreti Kemigisha a female adult and Chrispus Twesigye 31 years,

They met their death  on Saturday morning  when their car ,a Toyota Wish,collided with an on coming FUSO truck at Kyalusowe Swamp On Kampala-Masaka High way around 4:30Am in the morning.

Addressing mouners ,Nesta Muhwezi the father of the deceased noted that his family had 11 members but  they have remained Only 6   and thus asked people to pray for his family.

It was an extreme somber mood throughout the burial ceremony.

Kitabi parish priest led the prayers with his choir but this could not cool the situation.

According to historical information from Bushenyi greater[5 districts], this this the  first incident where five family members are buried on the same day.

The father of the deceased children Mzee Muhwezi appeared reasonably firm but was later  overwhelmed by sorrow.

Dignitaries that attended burial include MPs from Bushenyi district; Derrick Kabura Baimukye and Annet Mugisha Katusiime.

Others are Silver Mugisha MD national Water and Sewerage Corporation, ED Mbarara regional referral hospital Dr.Celestine Barigye, deputy mayor Bushenyi Ishaka municipality, Joel Nkore, former MP Odo Tayebwa and the entire police force.
