6 PEOPLE INCLUDING KASHARI NORTH MP CANDIDATE ARRESTED FOR HOLDING MEETING BEYOND CURFEW

Police in Mbarara last night arrested six people including an MP candidate after they were found holding a political meeting beyond curfew.
The arrested according to police are; Daniel Kananura an MP contestant for Kashari North, Benon Arinaitwe NRM registrar for Ruhumba ward in Rubindi town council, Rogers Mugisha NRM registrar for Kashare subcounty, Juvenile Katusime NRM registrar for Rubindi town council and 2 supporters Pascal Nkakirwa and Denis Musinguzi.
ASP Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region police spokesperson told www.mknewslink.com that the six were arrested from Itamba guest house in Rwebikoona Mbarara city where they were holding a political meeting beyond curfew hours.
Kasasira revealed that the six were later released on Police bond after Mbarara NRM chairman Herbert Kamugisha stood them surety as inquires into the matter continue
The spokesperson noted that the six people have been charged with disobedience of lawful orders vide SD red/02/04/09/2020.
