70 DR CONGO ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARRESTED IN KABALE

Police in Kabale have impounded a bus that was carrying over 70 suspected illegal immigrants from the DR Congo into Uganda.
The Kabale District Police Commander Brian Ampeire said that the suspected illegal immigrants arrested today 28th Nov. at around 10 am in Kabale included 48 women, 20 children and about 10 men.
He noted that immigrants were heading to Kampala travelling in Bismarkan bus Reg. No.UAV 118U.
He added that they cannot take the matter lightly because it might be a security threat to the country.
He also said that if the suspects are found to be illegal immigrants, they shall be prosecuted in courts of law.
