731 GRADUANDS RECEIVE DEGREES, DIPLOMAS AND CERTIFICATES AT IBANDA UNIVERSITY

A total of 731 students who successfully completed their studies yesterday graduated from Ibanda University and were awarded degrees, Diplomas certificates in their respective academic disciplines.
404 of the graduands were females and 327 were males.
The 6th graduation ceremony was held at Bubaare cell in Ibanda Municipality, Ibanda district.
The function was graced by students and their parents.
The Vice Chancellor Prof. Sam on James opolot while addressing the 6th congregation of Ibanda University said the University was founded in 2013 by a group visionary people as a partnership.
He adds that it is now a fully registered and recognised university by the ministry of education offering Degrees, Diplomas and certificates.
“I urge the new graduates to face the challenges of university learning to develop certain qualities of charter and mind to achieve this, “Prof. Opolot said.
He adds “your time is limited, so do not waste it living someone else’s life. Please do not be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking” Prof. Samson James opolot said.
The Chairman Board of Directors, Mr. Jeeb Rwomushana said the Ibanda University is among the fastest growing community owned institutions in Uganda,and is strategically located in the center of a large catchment area.
“I salute dear graduates and congratulate you upon your success. Please remember that God is above all things and work hard for your future” Mr. Rwomushana said.
The Chancellor, Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba, said that Ibanda University is doing a great work to educate many students from all over Uganda . He added that Ibanda University has started to do research in different subjects.
He advised the graduates to look at what is good at and it is very important to do jobs they love most.
“You have been tested in all subjects while at the university and passed well but you must put in your minds that God is above all “Prof. Baryamureeba added.
The Chief of Guest was the National Deputy Co- ordinator for Parish development Model Ms Jovrine Kyomukama Kaliisa who advised the graduates to continue listening, looking ahead and to learn more because the education they have obtained will make them look for jobs but learning will also continue.
Ms Kaliisa donated a token to Ibanda University of shs. 5,000,000= ( (Five Millions) to promote education.
