75 YEAR OLD RUKIGA RESIDENT KILLED BY EXCESSIVE BOOZE

Police in Rukiga District are investigating circumstances under which a 75-year-old resident died after boozing and smoking excessively without eating in Kamwezi sub-county Rukiga District
Elly Maate the Kigezi Region police spokesperson identified the deceased as Kidubali Kabuhanda a resident of Rwenzaza cell Kasheke parish Kamwezi sub county Rukiga district.
It’s alleged that the victim has been staying in Rwezaza cell for over a period 10 years 10years recently developed a strange sickness that caused his legs to swell as a result of excessive booze.
ASP Maate told journalists that on Sunday 25/12/2022 at arou09:30 am0am the area chairperson Fausta Kibarigesha informed Police that the deceased was found lying in the bush near his home in critical condition.
Maate revealed that the deceased was given food and he gained consciousness on 26/12/22, he continued boozing and smoking without eating.
On the 27/12/20 at around 05:30pm, the deceased was discovered lifeless his small house.
Police was notified, the scene was visited and documented, and a post-mortem was done.
The case of sudden death was registered at Rukiga Central Police station under reference number CRB 653/2022.
