8 REBEL GROUP LEADERS BEHIND MURDER OF POLICE OFFICERS ARRESTED, 2 GUNS RECOVERED

Security agencies have so far arrested eight suspects in their efforts to burst the new terror group which has been killing police officers and also stealing their guns across the country
The attacks on police officers have happened in the last four months where six police officers have been killed and their guns taken with the two last incidents happening in the districts of Kiboga and Mityana under Wamala policing region where four police officers were murdered and four guns stolen
According to police the arrested suspects scribes to the new rebel group known as Uganda coalition forces of Change and where recruited from various parts of the country with the aim of overthrowing the current government.
Fred Enanga the police spokesperson while addressing a news conference at police headquarters Naguru yesterday afternoon revealed that the suspects were arrested in joint operations by Crime Intelligence, flying squad and the territorial police in Wamala region, from Swamp area at Kabusi Village Bukuya Town council Kasand district where they have been hiding after running from their camps which they had established at Wabinyira and Kikandwa in Mityana District.
Fred Enanga noted that the arrested suspects include Makumbi Mosh alias Engineer who was the field commander a resident of Wakiso, Lugembe Stuart Savior alias Kuffa Tteeka aged 32 a resident, Mulindwa Julius aged 32 a resident of Bukerere Wakiso and Masembe John Masifu aged 28 a resident of Kassanda
Other suspects include Lwamireirwe Paul ages 19 a resident of Kisoro, Ssenyonga Bob aged 25 a resident of Rakai, Nabukenya Teopisita aged 50 years a resident of Namayumba and Matovu Sylvester aged 21
Enanga noted that during the arrest of these suspects two guns which were stolen from Ssekanyonyi in Mityana and Nakasozi in Kiboga were recovered with other exhibits.
Enanga noted that by the time of their arrests, the suspects had planned to carry out attacks on Ssekanyonyi police station which they had surveyed.
Meanwhile Fred Enanga noted that Makumbi Mosh alias Engineer the commander availed the investigating team with vital information of their sponsors whom they are pursuing now.
Fred Enanga also noted that the suspects will be charged with various offenses including four counts of murder of Police officers and aggravated robbery, terrorism among others.
